OSHA training offered June 27

MARSHALLTOWN– Iowa Valley Continuing Education will be offering an afternoon of learning about two important OSHA topics that are essential to your company. Class will be held on Wednesday, June 27 from noon to 4 pm.

OSHA Record Keeping will cover who must fill out OSHA logs and who is exempt and when is an accident and incident recordable and how is this recorded on the OSHA logs. This training will include case studies taken from OSHA letters of interpretation.

When OSHA Comes Knocking will cover what you need to do if an OSHA inspector comes to your facility. Included in the training will be a short workshop for designing a written procedure that will follow when an inspector arrives.

Classes will be taught by OSHA certified instructor, Jack Aker. Both sessions will be held at the Business and Technology Center on the Marshalltown Community College Campus, 3702 S. Center St. in room 205. Total cost of both classes is $30.
