At this time, our campuses are open to select students and employees only. Online classes are going smoothly; events remain canceled until further notice. A few IVCE courses will be held in May with small numbers of students in each class. Students can access our services and staff through email. The IVCE switchboard is accepting calls at 641-752-4645, but most staff are not yet working on campus at this time. Thank you for your continued understanding and support!

Celebrate your community with a picnic in the park Sept. 17

TAMA – Enjoy a unique and fun evening filled with the diverse cultures of Tama County. Monday, Sept. 17 plan to attend “This is us…Picnic in the Park” at Toledo Heights Park in Toledo, IA.

This free evening will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm and will include a variety of foods, face painting, crafts, instant pictures and community organization information tables including healthcare, MICA, Clothes Closet, Food Pantry, Law Enforcement and more. Celebrate the cultures that are represented in Tama County. A potluck dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, and everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish to share as well as your drinks. The meat will be provided and per Toledo Heights rules, please no alcohol.

Sponsors include Iowa Valley Continuing Education, Meskwaki Nation, Tama-Toledo Chamber, Iowa Premium, MICA, Tama County Conservation, South Tama Community School District, Clothes Closet, and Iowa State Extension. This event is open to anyone interested in learning about different cultures right here in Iowa!
