Mom-n-Me Cake-n-Take program is May 10

Mom and daughter making cakeKnowing that lots of fun memories are made in the kitchen, Iowa Valley Continuing Education is sponsoring a “Mom-n-Me Cake-n-Take” program on Friday, May 10, from 5 to 8 pm. Open to moms (or grandmas, aunties and special friends) and children ages 8 and older, participants will enjoy an evening of decorating, laughing and sugaring! Adult children are welcome to attend.

Cake decorating tips will be shared by Stacey Trytek, owner of Cake-n-Caboodle. “This will be a special way to spend quality time and create lasting memories with your loved one,” says Rachael Koehler, IVCE Program Coordinator. “Each mom and child couple will decorate one beautiful cake to take home, and it’s perfect timing to enjoy the cake for Mother’s Day!”

Advanced decorating techniques will be shared for the more adventurous (and/or mature) decorators in the crowd. Participants will meet at the Iowa Valley Continuing Education Center (Dejardin Hall) at 3702 S. Center St. in Marshalltown. Snacks will be provided.

Space is limited, so early registrations for course #2471 are encouraged; registrations will close on Friday, April 26. The cost is $40 per couple, and registrations can be completed by contacting IVCE at 641-752-4645 or 800-284-4823. Registrations can also be completed online at www.IowaValley.com.
