“We anticipate having more than 75 Central Iowa employers and educational institutions with tables and displays at this year’s Career Fair,” says Sara Aguilera, IowaWORKS Career Advisor Lead and Career Fair organizer. “The Fair is a great way for people to get information about local job openings, meet employers and their hiring staffs, make a great first impression, and distribute resumes. It’s also a very effective way for employers to connect with lots of prospective employees.”

As in the past, those wanting to attend who need transportation can call or stop by the IowaWORKS Office at 204 ½ W. State St. to receive a pass for free roundtrip transportation to the Career Fair courtesy of Marshalltown Municipal Transit. The MMT purple route bus goes directly to the MCC campus.

The IowaWORKS staff will be available before the Career Fair to help anyone in need of assistance with creating or updating a resume. During the Career Fair, the staff will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions for job seekers who need help starting a conversation with prospective employers.
