This course will cover the life and major accomplishments of Leonardo da Vinci, one of the greatest geniuses of all time. He did major work at the close of the 15th and beginning of the 16th centuries, and the time of the Italian High Renaissance. He was trained as an artist and painted some of the most famous artworks in the world, including Mona Lisa and the mural of the Last Supper. He also delved into science, engineering, and anatomy, conceiving of many inventions that were far ahead of his time, particularly in the areas of flight and aviation. This course will emphasize Leonardo’s scientific and engineering achievements. $34 for Creative Retirement members.
