The Nurse Aide Instructor Update 2022 features, Dr. Virginia “Ginny” Wangerin, PhD, RN, CNE. She is an educator, consultant, and speaker with nearly 40 years of experience in nursing. She has taught at the ADN, BSN, and graduate level. Dr. Wangerin is recognized as a lifelong leader and nursing advocate, serving on numerous committees and boards, and advocating for the profession and at-risk populations. As a nurse education leader, she has developed and implemented concurrent enrollment programs and a concept-based curriculum. Dr. Wangerin is a consultant and speaker for accreditation, curriculum development, learning strategies, and outcomes assessment. Nurse Aide Instructors from across Iowa will learn active engagement and reflective learning tools to enhance their nurse aide programs. Our second featured speaker is Kathy Fahy, BA in Mass Communication, Graduate Diploma in Professional Writing. Kathy is the owner and operator of K Brand Marketing. She initiated K Brand Marketing in 2006, after noticing a clear need for small to mid-sized businesses of the Midwest needing to follow her mission of “Marketing Simplified”. Nurse Aide instructors will learn branding basics, target audiences, persona types and how to connect your message to your audience.
