DESCRIPTION:This course provides the foundational skills necessary for work as a knowledgeable and efficient meat clerk.  Participants will gain practical experience in the art of meat packaging\, effective clerk and counter sales\, proper customer interaction\, and product knowledge. \nThis course utilizes a hybrid learning model\, delivering core curriculum content – including lessons\, assignments\, required readings\, and instructional videos – through an online platform.  Students then participate in mandatory\, in-person lab sessions at a local partnering meat locker.  These sessions provide critical hands-on practice\, direct observation of skills\, and practical testing to ensure competency in the subject matter. \nStudents will need access to a computer or laptop and the internet to access the curriculum.
