Celebrate your community March 19

TAMA – Enjoy a unique and fun evening filled with the diverse cultures of Tama County. Monday, March 19 plan to attend “This is us…Celebrating our Diverse Community” at South Tama Elementary, 1611 Country Club Drive in Tama.

This free evening will include a variety of foods, dress, art, and fun from all of the cultures that are represented in Tama County. A potluck dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, and everyone is encouraged to bring a potluck dish to share. Water, lemonade, ice tea and table settings are provided.

There will be a cultural dress fashion show, art displays, face painting for kids, and more.

Sponsors include Iowa Valley Continuing Education, Meskwaki Nation, Tama-Toledo Chamber, Iowa Premium, MICA, Tama County Conservation, South Tama Community School District, State Bank of Toledo, and Iowa State Extension. This event is open to anyone interested in learning about different cultures right here in Iowa!
