Basic Automotive Education for Women

MARSHALLTOWN – Would you like to learn more about your vehicle and how to properly care for it? This Basic Automotive Maintenance class for women includes lecture, demonstration, and the use of hand tools.

Iowa Valley Grinnell’s Automotive Technology instructor and experienced mechanic, Steven Koch, will teach you about maintaining your personal vehicle, including tires, oil, electrical issues, and required service maintenance such as warning light meanings and issues.

You will learn when your vehicle needs immediate attention from a service center and how to make better decisions about repairing your vehicle in a safe and cost-effective manner. Steven will teach you simple maintenance procedures that will save you money and auto terminology to help build your confidence.

Basic Automotive for Women will be held on Wednesdays, April 18 – May 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. This class was originally scheduled to be held in Grinnell but due to multiple requests will now be held at Marshalltown Community College, 3702 S. Center St., Marshalltown in the Construction Technology Building located on the Northeast corner of campus. Cost is $49.
