Iowa Valley BCS to Host “The AI Advantage” Workshop Series
Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions (BCS) is launching a new workshop series, “The AI Advantage,” designed to equip local professionals and business leaders with the practical skills needed to thrive in the era of artificial intelligence. The series will begin with a free introductory Lunch & Learn event on Thursday, October 16, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Iowa Valley Community College District Conference Center in Marshalltown.
The free Lunch & Learn, open to all local businesses and manufacturers, will feature industry expert Chrissy from ToolingU and AI instructor Shereen Bender. Attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and a high-level overview of how AI is already impacting the workplace and how they can leverage it for efficiency, innovation, and growth.
“We hear a lot about AI, but it can be hard for businesses to understand what it really means for their day-to-day operations,” said Jacque Goodman, Vice President of Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions. “This series is designed to demystify AI and provide our community with a clear roadmap for responsible, effective implementation. We want to empower local leaders to not just adapt to this technology, but to use it to gain a competitive edge.”
Following the complimentary kick-off event, the series will continue with three targeted, five hour workshops. Each session is a deep dive into specific applications and strategies for AI in business:
- October 29: AI in the Workplace: Practical Applications & Responsible Use A hands-on workshop focused on leveraging AI tools for daily productivity and understanding ethical considerations.
- November 5: AI for Business Leaders & Executives A strategic session for leaders on using AI for decision-making, competitive advantage, and organizational innovation.
- November 12: Empowering HR with AI: Transforming Talent Management for the Future An interactive training for HR professionals on how AI can streamline recruitment, enhance employee engagement, and improve workforce analytics.
Each workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will include a light breakfast, refreshments, and lunch. The sessions will run until 2:00 p.m.
Local media outlets and businesses are encouraged to attend the October 16 Lunch & Learn to learn more about this valuable community resource.
