BCS to Host Breastfeeding Basics Conference
Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions, in partnership with Guiding Star Marshalltown, will host a Breastfeeding Basics Conference on September 7 in the Iowa Valley Conference Center, to be held from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
This day-long conference is designed to help healthcare professionals better assist parents in navigating the “firsts” in life. Attendees will learn to help new mothers with concerns about breastfeeding, newborns, hormones, and motherhood. This conference is also open to parents who want additional information and resources on breastfeeding and may attend at a reduced fee of $40. There will be brief sessions for individual lactation advice available and opportunities to win door prizes.
The featured presenter is Angela Swieter, RN, BSN, IBCLC, ICCE, along with a variety of other healthcare professionals. Attendees will earn 5.75 contact hours and is approved for Nurses through Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions, Iowa Board of Nursing, Provider #18, and will cost $60.
