Iowa Valley BCS and Marshalltown High School Partner to Offer Nurse Aide Training Open House
Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions (BCS) is partnering with Marshalltown High School (MHS) to host an open house showcasing the Nurse Aide program and other short-term healthcare training opportunities available to high school students.
The Nurse Aide program allows high school students to gain valuable skills and certifications that can lead to rewarding careers in healthcare. The Nurse Aide program specifically equips students with the knowledge and experience to provide compassionate care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings.
“We are grateful for the generous support of UnityPoint Health (Waterloo), the American Legion for the donation of canes, Stacey Tool-Crawford for the walker donation, Mark Wyant and Brian Crawford (hospital curtain installation), and Buildings and Grounds staff, Associate Principal Justin Boliver, and Instructor Megan Mann who helped paint the classroom,” said Becky Hassett, Director of Programming and Student Support at Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions. “Their contributions have created a welcoming and realistic learning environment for our future healthcare professionals.”
The open house will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in room 132 at MHS. Attendees are encouraged to enter through the main doors and check in at the main office.
