Course Description: The 2023 Nurse Aide Instructor Update features, Brenda Clark Hamilton. Brenda is a dynamic keynote speaker who offers fresh perspectives in leadership, communication, team building, and offering one’s personal best to life, relationships, and career. Brenda launched her speaking business in the fall of 2005, by offering training to businesses in her northern Iowa community. She spoke at her first statewide conference in 2008. Since then, she has become a nationally recognized speaker and audience favorite, speaking at approximately 100 events each year, in every industry imaginable.
Nursing instructors will learn: Communication Strategies for Leadership and Educator Success, Who Is the Newest Kid on the Block? ‘Gen Z’ in the Workplace and at School, and The Mentally Strong Leader (Student): Strategies for Facing Challenges with Grit, Steadiness, & a Can-Do Attitude.
You will also hear DIA updates from Linda Kellen, RN, MS, and the University of Iowa updates provided by Shalome Tonelli, Ph.D., RN, Instructional Track Faculty Lecturer, Certification Center Director the University of Iowa College of Nursing, Jonas-Hartford Nurse Scholar in Gerontological Nursing, Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty at the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Approved for 7.5 Contact Hours through Iowa Board of Nursing Provider #18.
100% attendance is required for Contact Hour credit, no partial credit is given.
