You will learn the basic level of knowledge and the demonstration of skills to provide safe, effective resident care. This course meets the requirement of the Department of Inspection and Appeals for nursing assistants / direct caregivers working in long-term care and skilled facilities. Upon completion, a student is eligible to take the computer and skills performance competency tests to become a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Iowa. This is a 75-hour nurse aide course. 100% attendance is required. Must pass the final exam with 79% grade to continue to clinical. “No class Friday, November 18th. Additional class time on Monday 11-14-22, 8:30am-1:30pm. Clinical dates: Minimum of 30 hours of clinical time taking place December 7th through December 16th. Time and facility TBA.
Background check required to be run and cleared for participation prior to the start of class.
