Has the lining of your trunk case seen its better days? This class will focus on the relining of a case that fits an existing firearm. If time permits, we may be able to touch on refitting. Dave Bennetts is a retired gunsmith and stock maker. He was trained by Marvin Huey in case restoration and worked for Marvin for several years. He still does restoration work. Dave is an honorary member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. This workshop is one of five workshops offered as part of the 2022 Master Craftsman Series for gunsmithing continuing education in conjunction with the Gunsmith Technology program at Iowa Valley Community College Grinnell. Participants will provide their own tools and materials to work on during the sessions and are responsible for their own meals and lodging. Tools and materials list will be provided prior to the workshop.
