Iowa Valley CNA students from Marshalltown High School to Attend Apprenticeship Signing Day for Unity Point Health Career

Marshalltown High School students interested in healthcare careers will commit to a future filled with learning and earning at a Nurse Aide Signing Day on May 23. The event celebrates their intentions to become apprentices at UnityPoint Health, which is part of the Healthcare Apprenticeship Program facilitated by Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions (BCS).

This innovative program allows students to gain valuable hands-on experience while working toward a Nurse Aide certification. They will be employed by UnityPoint Health and receive on-the-job training alongside experienced professionals.

“This signing day is a momentous occasion for these students,” said Becky Hassett, Director of Programming & Student Support for Iowa Valley Business and Community Solutions. “The Nurse Aide Apprenticeship Program offers a fantastic opportunity to combine classroom learning with real-world experience, all while earning a paycheck.”
