This 30-hour basic water treatment course is a comprehensive course designed to give students the necessary tools and information needed to begin their careers in the wastewater treatment field. Topics covered will include sources of water, the treatment process, plant operations, safety, water quality regulations, and math for the computations of tasks involved in water treatment. This course will prepare students to take the Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade I Exam once they have met six months of on-the-job experience, or can be used to satisfy requirements for ongoing training with 3 CEUs issued upon completion.
