This 30 hour training (3CEU) course provides a solid foundation and builds on knowledge about water sources and characteristics, math, hydraulics, pumping stations, flow measurement, preliminary treatment, primary treatment, secondary treatment, disinfection, sampling and lab, safety, administration, laws and regulations. This course satisfies DNR Grade I Water Distribution eligibility requirement and is for entry-level and current grade I or II operators. This class, along with 6 months experience will satisfy the eligibility requirement for the Iowa DNR Water Distribution Systems Grade I and is a good review for anyone planning to take the Water Distribution Systems Grade II or III exams.
