This 4-hour course covers Article 690 of the NEC in detail including definitions of various PV systems, circuits, and components; requirements for circuit identification, routing, and ground-fault protection; voltage and current calculations; conductor sizing and overcurrent protection; disconnects and labeling; wiring methods; connections and interconnections; grounding; identification and connection to other power sources; and storage batteries. Also covered are general requirements in Chapters 1 – 4 that pertain to solar photovoltaic installations. Participants will need to bring a copy of the 2020 National Electrical Code, highlighters, a calculator, notebook and pencils. 4 Code.
